Resumo
Abstract
The literature has examined the factors influencing the entry and attractiveness of regional air transport routes for full-service and low-cost carriers. However, a gap remains in understanding the factors that determine airport choice within airlines' route networks on routes with thin demand. This paper synthesizes the literature and further examines potential factors related to thin demand or sub-regional routes. The study contributes to filling the gap in understanding airlines’ entry decisions in this niche market.
